The time of polar night has arrived, but there is light on the horizon regarding the school project.
The school’s background foundation has finally been submitted to the Finnish Patent and Registration Office (PRH) for registration! This means that once the foundation has made its way through the bureaucratic process, we can sign an agreement with the City of Helsinki to organize education. Once this agreement is approved, we can begin applying to the Finnish Government for a license to provide education. Of course, this will be a longer process. The foundation is also necessary for renovating the school premises—after all, renovations don’t come free. Once the foundation is operational, it will also be possible to make donations to it.
The open house at the end of October was a great success.
Many interested people attended, including both Lauttasaari residents and members of the Catholic community.
Here are some important upcoming dates:
- Saturday, December 13th, 4–7 PM: Lauttasaari Parish’s Christmas Path. We will also keep our own church open and organize a family-friendly event. More information coming soon!
- Saturday, January 17th, 2026, 11 AM–12 PM: The next school open house in the future school premises.
